Business Phone System Time Diary, how do I use it?

Here at Yay, we are always doing our absolute best to improve and expand our customer’s experience, and this time we have decided to focus on changes to Out of Hours!

We have taken a look at this feature and given it a nice new look, renaming it to ‘Time Diaries’. ‘Out of Hours Diaries’ really don’t do justice, as you can do so much more than change you call route when you leave the office!

What are Time Diaries?

Time Diaries work in exactly the same way as Out of Hours, in that you can create and apply alternate call routes to one phone number, which kick in at certain times of the day and week.

A perfect example would be having a Primary Call Route which sends calls through to the office phones during working hours, and then setting a different route to kick in between the hours of 5pm and 9am the next day, which goes to an ‘out of office’ voicemail.

You can also set Custom Days for your diaries, which will kick in and overwrite all other routes, for the period that you specify - this is great for Bank Holidays and impromptu staff lunches!
