Yay.com are pleased to announce new short code configuration options for its Hosted VoIP users. Situated within all user Dashboards, this feature provides easy and speedy access to other call services.
These codes work as keypad shortcuts to custom calling functions, They are reachable from any handset, headset or VoIP soft phone that has been configured with a user account, wherever they are and whenever they want. Just pick up the handset, type in a three character code and access its assigned Hosted VoIP function
If a business is based in a variety of locations or you're simply a business manager based in a different room to your colleagues, this can be a valuable option to assist staff, save time and access call functions without fuss.
Use the feature to create speed dials for a variety of purposes and situations. Set up a keypad command to utilise the Call Listen function when a colleague is on the phone. This can be especially useful for training purposes. Need to provide assistance to a co-worker who is in conversation with a customer? Just pick up the handset, dial the designated three digits and offer them support through our Call Whisper function.
Located in the Config section of the user Dashboard, other accessible options include the ability to join in on live calls taking place on an extension, to choose a Caller ID to present as or switch to when dialling out, and even the capability to record custom audio directly over the phone - all using a user created unique access code.
