How do I change my mailbox greeting?

To change your voicemail greeting, there are four different options:

Option A:  Record Audio within Your Voicemail

1 - Navigate to Dashboard > Config > Mailboxes to find your mailbox

2 - Dial the extension number of your mailbox from your VoIP device and follow the voice prompts to change your greeting; Option 4 to record a new greeting.

Option B:  Record Audio with your VoIP Device

1 - Dial *50 from your VoIP device to record an audio file, press any key to save the recording. 

2 - Navigate to your Dashboard > Audio and find the file named “recorded by phone” in the list, usually last page. You can now edit this file to rename it should you wish!

3 - Navigate to Config > Mailboxes  and edit your mailbox using the pencil icon to the right of your mailbox.

4 - Select you new audio file from the Greeting drop down box, and Save Changes!

Option C:  Use Pre-Recorded Audio

This option is for if you have a pre-recorded audio file! Click HERE for a list of the file formats we support!

1 - Navigate to your Dashboard > Audio  and click on “Add Audio” 

2 - Click on “Upload an Audio File”

3 - Give your audio file a nickname, tag (optional) and select “Mailbox Greeting” from the Type drop down.

4 - Browse to select your audio file, and Save Changes to upload the file

5 - Navigate to Config > Mailboxes  and edit your mailbox using the pencil icon to the right of your mailbox.

6 - Select you new audio file from the Greeting drop down box, and Save Changes!

Option D:  Use Text-to-Speech

This option will allow you to convert a written text into speech and make this your mailbox greeting (please note this is only available to those with the Enterprise account upgrade).

1 - Navigate to your Dashboard > Audio  and click on “Add Audio”

2 - Click on “Text to Speech” 

3 - Enter the text you would like to have spoken in the audio script box.

4 - You are then free to select the voice type, language, and actor.

5 - Give your audio file a nickname, tag (optional) and select “Mailbox Greeting” from the Type drop down.

6 - Select “Save Audio File”

7 - Navigate to Config > Mailboxes  and edit your mailbox using the pencil icon to the right of your mailbox.

8 - Select you new audio file from the Greeting drop down box, and Save Changes!
