At Yay.com we’ve developed and built our own VoIP applications for a range of devices, such as iOS, Android and desktop giving our customers an ease of use being able to make and take calls on the go wherever they are!
We understand that VoIP apps of the past required complicated usernames and passwords to get set up, but, with our apps we’ve created a few easy ways to deploy our app to new or existing staff!
For quick and easy deployment, you can use our text invitation method - select specific users in the dashboard and as long as you know their mobile number, you can send through an invitation that allows them to download the app and link it directly to that user without any login information being given.
When you first open the mobile app, users are asked to verify their mobile number - as the number as already been registered within the site (When the invite was sent), once this verification is complete it will log them in ready to make and receive calls.
In the apps page, you’ll then see their mobile number listed against the user, to confirm that this has been activated.
Head to the apps page of your dashboard, select the user you’d like to invite, input their mobile number and click invite!
Simply tap the link in the text that is sent to download the app!
Add in your mobile number to verify the number and input the verification code that’s sent through!
As the number is already registered via the invite, it will automatically link it and you’ll be logged in!
You can also invite the user via the users page under the App registration tab!
Another option is using a company code to get users associated with the app. You can generate a company code within the apps page in your Yay.com dashboard, which remains valid for up to 7 days and this is generally better for larger-scale deployment.
If a user has gone passed the verification code screen, they’ll be prompted to enter a company code to access the account. If given the company code beforehand, they can enter it here. They’ll then be greeted with a screen that says “Awaiting administrator activation…”
Within the apps page of the Yay.com dashboard, their number and name will appear, with an option to select which user to assign them to. Once confirmed their app will instantly connect and they’ll be taken to the dial pad screen!
There is also a toggle to turn on “Automated Deployment” - this will automatically assign new apps who enter the company code to users which have never been registered to an app previously for a smooth and quick deployment to lots of users, saving administration time.
You can generate a company code for deployment in the apps tab of your Yay.com dashboard
Once you’ve downloaded the app and verified your number, you’ll be asked to input the company code. Input the code generated earlier to link the device to the account.
Once you’ve input the company code and input your details, a request will be sent to the account where they can then allocate you to a specific user in the dashboard
Back in the Yay.com dashboard, the user will appear in there with their filled in details and mobile number. On the right hand side, select the user you’d like them to use and click “Allocate” to get them linked up!
A variation of the company code use is Automated Deployment. If enabled, this will automatically assign a mobile user who enters the company code and details to the next available user extension - this only applies to users who have never had an app linked to them previously.
A third method for getting set up on your Yay.com app is a simple log in option - once your mobile is verified, you’ll be greeted with the company code screen. In the top right corner, you can select “Log In”.
You can then enter your Yay.com login details and select your user from the following screen to get calling!
Once you've verified your mobile number in the top right select “Log In”. Just log in with your normal Yay.com account credentials, select your user and you’ll be ready to go!
