How do I set up my Ubiquiti Access Point?

Unbox your UAP

 

Plugin the UAP to an ethernet cable

 

If you have a POE switch or POE ports you will only need the cable connected for the power & ethernet to pass to the unit

 

If you do not have POE you will need to set up the POE injector to power the access point

 

Download the Network Controller software here

 

Please note you will need 3gb free space in order to do this.

From here you will be directed to download the application 

If your Ubiquiti Access Point is plugged in correctly it should load here. Tick the box next to 'device name' to adopt the UAP to your network.

The next step can be configured later on, but if you know what you would like your SSID Username/Password to be enter it here.

At the controller access page will need you to enter the above information. Please note you will not be able to proceed unless your password is secure enough.

This page will load and you'll need to enter your UBNT username and password.

Your UAP should now show as connected!
