Can I create something that will dial a softphone or application from my browser. So when I click a link, I can dial the number shown?

Yes you can. You simply create a link on your website much like you would create a regular HTML link, using the "href" tag. However, instead of putting a regular link in the code, such as www.mywebsite.com, you put "Sip:" followed immediately by the number you are dialling in +country code format. So an example to dial the Yay.com help team would be <a href="sip:+443301226000">Click here to call the Yay.com team</a>

Once you've put this code into place it will launch the softphone on your computer when you click on it. The first time you do so it will ask you which Softphone you wish to use if you have multiple phones installed.
