Call forwarding is useful if you want to pass all of your calls to your Yay.com number to an external number and it is very easy to get it up and running.
A step-by-step guide on settings this up can be seen below:
Log in to your Yay.com dashboard and go to the call routing page at Voice > Inbound Settings > Routing from where you will want to click 'Add Call Route' which will take you to configure the call route.
From the call route configuration page, you will first want to give the call route a name under 'Route Nickname' (this can be anything you like). Then under the routing modules, you want to select 'Sent to Users / Forward Call'. In the box that pops up in the Call Route flow you want to enter the number you want calls to forward to under 'Send Call To' and then hit the plus to the right of that textbox.
You then want to assign your call route to your number by clicking the 'View all numbers' dropdown under 'Assign Call Route to Number(s)' and then checking the checkbox next to the number(s) you want to apply this forward to. You can then click 'Add Route' in the top right to create the call route.
Once you have done the previous steps you have created the call forward and will see it on the Routing page along with what number it is applied to.
It is worth noting that any forwarded calls will be classed as outbound calls and will make use of any inclusive minutes as such.
In the event you are looking to forward calls to a mobile phone we would recommend making use of the Yay.com Mobile App and we have FAQs on setting up the app here: https://www.yay.com/faq/yay-com-app/deploy-mobile-app/
