What makes the .PAGE a secure namespace?

The .PAGE Top Level Domain (TLD) is an “encrypted by default” domain extension. This is due to the namespace being inscribed in the HSTS (HTTP Strict Transport Security) Preload List. This list comprises of sites that are hardcoded into Chrome as being HTTPS only. Most major browsers such as Firefox, Opera, Safari and Microsoft Edge have HSTS preload lists based on the Chrome list. As a result the .PAGE namespace and .domain is more secure because it is HSTS preloaded.

To ensure .PAGE remains a secure and safe namespace, one of the requirements of ownership is that all .PAGE domain names are configured to work with an SSL certificate in order for the website to be served over HTTPS.
