.APP Domain Launch Periods

The launch of the .APP domain is split into three different periods.

  • .APP Sunrise Period (Mar 29th 16:00 UTC – May 1st 16:00 UTC)

    If you hold a trademark, you can place an application for your desired .APP domain name during this period. During this period you can secure your domain name prior to the Early Access Period and General Registration launch. You will be required to provide a relevant Signed Mark Data (SMD) file during your application to verify your trademark ownership.

  • .APP Early Access Period (May 1st 16:00 UTC – May 8th 16:00 UTC)

    During the 7 day Early Access Period, those who have a strong interest in specific .APP domain names will have the opportunity to acquire them on a first-come, first-served basis. Domain names during this period have an additional one-time fee attached to them. This fee decreases during each day of the Early Access Period. The earlier you apply during this phase, the higher the chance of success.

    This launch period is first-come, first-served and is open to all.
